The Annals of Artificial Intelligence (AAI) publishes original contributions, both theoretical and empirical, in the field of artificial intelligence and its applications across scientific, engineering, and social domains, following a rigorous double-blind peer review process.
The journal welcomes high-quality research addressing, but not limited to, the following areas:
- Machine learning, deep learning, and neural network architectures
- Natural language processing, large language models, and conversational AI
- Computer vision, image recognition, and multimodal AI systems
- Reinforcement learning, autonomous agents, and multi-agent systems
- Knowledge representation, reasoning, and explainable AI (XAI)
- AI safety, robustness, fairness, and ethical considerations
- Generative AI, diffusion models, and creative computing
- AI for healthcare, bioinformatics, and clinical decision support
- AI applications in finance, economics, and business intelligence
- Robotics, embodied intelligence, and human-robot interaction
- Federated learning, privacy-preserving AI, and distributed intelligence
- Graph neural networks, geometric deep learning, and relational reasoning
- Optimization, evolutionary computation, and metaheuristic algorithms
- AI infrastructure, efficient inference, and edge computing
- Interdisciplinary AI applications in science, education, law, and policy
AAI aims to bridge foundational research with applied innovation, serving academics, engineers, data scientists, industry practitioners, and policymakers engaged in advancing the theory and practice of artificial intelligence across all domains.
The Annals of Artificial Intelligence (AAI) is a double-blind, peer-reviewed, open-access journal that publishes original research articles as well as review articles across all areas of artificial intelligence. To actively encourage and promote submissions to the AAI journal at this stage, we are pleased to announce that there will be no Article Processing Charge (APC) for manuscripts accepted during the current period.
Submission Requirements
- Cover letter: Should include the name(s) of the author(s), affiliation(s), mailing address(es) and e-mail address(es), and contact telephone number(s).
- Manuscript: It will be sent for blind reviews. Please submit the first page with only the title of the paper and one paragraph abstract of no more than 150 words. The paper should be double-spaced in the body of the text and appendices, if they exist.
- Footnotes/Endnotes: All footnotes/endnotes should appear before References.
- Tables and Figures: Tables and Figures must be in camera-ready form (4.5”x7” or smaller) in the final version of the accepted paper.
- References: References, in alphabetical order, must appear at the end of the paper. Citations of the work in the text should be by the name of the author(s) followed by either the numerical order (e.g., Hicks [4]0 or by the year of publication (e.g., Hicks (2014)).
- After acceptance, the author(s) must submit the final version of the paper in Microsoft Word.
